1. I found a day job that respects my boundaries. I am a full-time English teacher. Any teacher knows that this is a job that can take over a life. Gabriel wasn’t supposed to be in my junior year American Literature class.  He had been in another class for an entire semester, but he heard from my students that I was “hard.”  I gave tons of writing assignments.  My students told him I was nice, but I “did too much.” I made students work. I am a stationery junkie.  Last time I had a rare night all to myself, I went to Office Depot to look at stuff and stayed so late that the poor salespeople had to follow me around the store and ask me politely to leave so that they could go home.
